NATURE

The Landscape at the Cloud Forest

At La Reserva Chocó 701, we are passionate about preserving and restoring the natural beauty of the Choco Andino Forest. Our mission is to bring the forest back to its former glory by restoring its ecosystem and recreating the biological pathways that provide homes for native animal species. Our team is dedicated to this cause and is working tirelessly to make a positive impact on the planet.

By visiting Chocó 701, you are enjoying a breathtaking natural experience and supporting our efforts to conserve and protect the environment for future generations.

SUSTAINABILTY

We are committed to creating a sustainable future for our community and the environment. To achieve this, we have embraced ecotourism as a means of generating income that supports the restoration and preservation of the cloud forest.

Join us on this journey of preservation and discover how easy and enjoyable it can be to help protect the environment.

With every visit, you are supporting a sustainable future and ensuring the longevity of this unique and precious ecosystem.

Our mission is to conserve the environment while providing a unique and comfortable experience in the Cloud Forest.

We understand the importance of reducing our impact on the planet, especially in the livestock sector, where animal agriculture is responsible for 14.5% of total greenhouse gas emissions.

Our immediate goal is to reduce the number of livestock on our reserve from 95 units to just 3 by 2024.

Our goals

We aim to introduce 7 hectares of deforested land to the restoration process every year for 21 hectares.

We know that restoring forests is challenging, so we are working with biologists to analyze several factors while working on the restoration process.

This includes identifying the endemic species, soil degradation, and the impact of introduced species.

We believe that eco-tourism is a great way to support our conservation efforts and provide new sources of income for our team and the local community.

Our lodging operation is designed to be low-impact and provide a unique, cabin-in-the-woods experience.

All units are designed to have minimal impact on the environment while providing a comfortable and unforgettable experience.

How can I be part of the
restoration effort?

Join us in our mission to restore and protect the reserve. When you visit, you're supporting our goals, but there's more you can do to help!

Here are a few ways you can make a positive impact:

  1. Recommend us to your friends and family. By sharing your experience with others, you help us spread the word about our mission and attract more visitors who are passionate about conservation.

  2. Shop at our reserve store. All proceeds from our merchandise sales go directly toward our restoration efforts. By purchasing from our shop, you're not only taking home a unique memento, but you're also supporting our work.

  3. Live sustainably. No matter where you are, you can make a difference by living a life that aligns with our vision. Be a conscious consumer, take care of your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and live a happy life that supports our mission.

By following these small steps, you can help us make the world a better place, one step at a time.

We can't wait to welcome you to the reserve and see you take part in our restoration journey.
